On Tuesday morning, 29-year-old Felix Alvarez, 43-year-old Amy Hernandez and 42-year-old Holly Patrick suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Ceres.
As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place at about 4:50 a.m. on Central Avenue. The preliminary investigation showed that a northbound Nissan Sedan crashed into the center of the left side of a Dodge Ram pickup. The pickup apparently came out of an orchard and into the path of the Sedan when the collision occurred.
The impact sent the Dodge onto the roof of the Sedan. The driver of the Dodge left the scene after the crash. On arrival, emergency responders freed the Nissan driver, 29-year-old Felix Alvarez, who was pinned inside the vehicle. Alvarez was then rushed to a hospital with major injuries.
According to the officials, there were passengers inside the pickup at that time. 43-year-old Amy Hernandez incurred only minor injuries whereas 42-year-old Holly Patrick had head lacerations. 45-year-old John Johnson remained unharmed. No other details are available.
The incident remains under investigation.
