One person died while another suffered injuries following a traffic collision on Interstate 240 in Memphis.
As per the initial information, the fatal multi-vehicle wreck was reported at 3:42 a.m. on Interstate 240 between Person Avenue and Norris Road. One person suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.
On arrival, emergency personnel transported the second victim to Regional One in unknown condition. The identities of the victims have not been disclosed. The incident led to the closure of lanes and caused traffic delays in the area. No other details have been provided by the authorities.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
