Man died after a multi-vehicle collision on 405 Freeway on ramp in Culver City (Culver City, CA)

A man lost his life after a wreck Monday morning on an on-ramp to the San Diego (405) Freeway in Culver City.

As per the initial information, the three-vehicle accident was reported 2:50 a.m. on the Jefferson Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound San Diego Freeway. Eyewitnesses told the CHP that a big rig and two sedans were involved in the collision.

The man was declared dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear at this time. A Sig Alert was announced at 4:12 a.m. closing down the Jefferson Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound San Diego Freeway. Traffic on the southbound freeway itself was not affected due to the closure. No other details are available.

An investigation is underway.
