26-year-old Ryan Rapanot died after a hit-and-run accident in north Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

Authorities identified 26-year-old Ryan Rapanot as the man who lost his life after being hit by a vehicle early Saturday morning in north Phoenix.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run accident took place near 19th Avenue and Glendale. Police actively responded to the area at 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 11 after getting reports of a crash. On arrival, they found a man in serious condition. The man, identified as 26-year-old Ryan Rapanot, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The preliminary reports showed that Rapanot walked onto the street and was lying down on the roadway when he was struck. The driver did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled before responders arrived. No information is available regarding the suspect or the hit-and-run vehicle.

The incident remains under active review.
