Woman dead after a bicycle crash on Eucalyptus Drive and Fairfax Road (Bakersfield, CA)

On Tuesday night, a woman lost her life following a two-vehicle accident on Eucalyptus Drive.

As per the initial information, the fatal bicycle crash took place at around 5:48 p.m. in the 6601 block of Eucalyptus Drive, just east of Fairfax Road. The early reports revealed that a female bicyclist was crossing the street in front of a blue Honda Civic when the car struck her.

The bike rider suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The driver of the car remained at the scene until officers arrived. Officials confirmed that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
