One person was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries after a truck slammed into a building on Thursday, Oct. 14.

The Baton Rouge Police Department stated that a truck smashed into the Apex Construction building, located on Interline Avenue near Drusilla Lane just before 2 p.m. It is unknown at this time if a medical emergency resulted in the crash.

The events that have led up to the accident also remain unclear. The identity of the injured victim has not been released by the authorities. No other details have been made available.

The cause of the crash remains under review.
