On Monday morning, one person was taken to a hospital after a rollover accident on California Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard.

As per the initial information, the incident took place at around 11:15 a.m. on California Boulevard, southeast of Foothill Boulevard. The preliminary reports showed that a man driving a white GMC Sierra failed to maintain control of his truck for unknown reasons following which it rolled over and smashed into seven cars parked along the street.

San Luis Obispo City Fire Department actively responded to the scene getting reports of a crash with an entrapment. Two trucks, an engine, a battalion chief, and an ambulance arrived at the crash site. The reports further revealed that the man was in moderate distress when he was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital for further evaluation.

The incident did not cause any major injuries, reports stated. The wreck broke the truck’s windshield and the front right wheel while badly damaging the front of the truck. Authorities confirmed that the seven parked cars had no occupants when the accident occurred. All vehicles were significantly damaged as a result of the collision.

An investigation is ongoing.
