On early Thursday morning, a rollover accident left one person injured in Cold Springs while authorities believe that DUI might have been involved.
As per the initial information, the incident took place just before 12:45 a.m. Thursday on Highway 395 north, close to White Lake Parkway. The preliminary investigation showed that the driver was traveling north when he drove into the median, overcorrected and then flipped the car over.
On arrival, emergency crews extricated the victim after cutting the roof of the car. The patient was then rushed to a nearby hospital with non-fatal injuries. Authorities stated that the unidentified driver would be cited for failing to maintain a travel lane. One lane was briefly closed down while crews worked to clear the scene.
The crash remains under review.
