A 27-year-old Comstock Park man killed after a rollover crash on U.S. 131 (Reynolds Township, MI)

On early Sunday morning, a 27-year-old Comstock Park man lost his life following a rollover accident on U.S. 131.

Officers responded to the area of northbound U.S. 131, north of M-46 in Montcalm County, Reynolds Township at about 2:29 a.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. The early reports indicated that a 1997 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle was heading northbound on U.S. 131 when the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and rolled over multiple times.

Due to the impact, the driver was ejected from his car. He was reportedly the only occupant of the car. He suffered major injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the officials. The driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Montcalm County EMS, Howard City Fire Department, and Montcalm County Central Dispatch provided assistance at the scene.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
