Celebration of life held for 17-year-old who died in car crash


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Frederick Douglass High School student 17-year-old Matthew Perrine died in a car crash on Bryan Station Road last month. Now, over one hundred family members, friends, and community members are joining together to celebrate his life. “There was never a bad day when he was around. I never saw him without a smile on his face,” Assistant Baseball Coach Hunter Barnes says. Matthew was a key player on the Frederick Douglass High School baseball team.
