Authorities identified 27-year-old Samuel Bennett and 46-year-old Kerby Langford who died in a crash (Knoxville, TN)

The Knoxville Police Department has released the names of 27-year-old Samuel Bennett, a resident of West Virginia and 46-year-old Kerby Langford, a resident of Knoxville, as the two victims who lost their lives in a fatal motorcycle accident along Kingston Pike on Saturday.

According to KPD, no charges were expected to be filed as of Monday morning. Officers quickly responded to the crash scene on Kingston Pike, near Market Place Boulevard involving a SUV and a motorcycle at about 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Reports indicated that the motorcycle hit the SUV, throwing the driver and passenger from their bike. The driver of the motorcycle was rushed to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he was declared deceased while the passenger died at the scene of the accident.

An investigation is underway.
