Officials identified 48-year-old Jeremy McGee, of Kerrville, as the driver of a commercial truck who died after being struck by a passing motorist Tuesday morning in Boerne.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian accident took place just before 7 a.m. on Interstate 10. As of now, authorities believe that McGee was outside of his truck for undetermined reasons when he was hit by a passing motorist.
The early report indicated that McGee’s truck was pulled over on the right-hand shoulder of the interstate and that the headlights were on, a right-side blinker was flashing, but the emergency flashers were not activated.
The driver of the passenger vehicle that hit the victim immediately pulled over and stayed at the scene. The incident caused major traffic delays in the area. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
