Authorities identified 47-year-old Grant Gremillion, of Sulphur, 44-year-old Ramiro Pineda-Perez, of Berwick, and 38-year-old Alexander Vigil, of Morgan City, as the victims who lost their lives following a two-vehicle collision on early Sunday morning in Lafourche area.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on LA Hwy 308 in Lafourche Parish a little before 5 a.m. The early reports showed that Gremillion was driving a Ford F-250 traveling north on LA Hwy 308 while Pineda-Perez was in a Chrysler heading south on the same road.
At some point of time, Gremillion’s Ford went over the centerline and drove into oncoming traffic. Pineda-Perez attempted to avoid a collision by steering right but was still struck by the pickup. Both the drivers and Pineda-Perez’s passenger, Alexander Vigil, died as a result of the accident. No other details are available.
The crash remains under investigation.
