Cass County authorities are investigating a vehicle accident that occurred on Monday morning.
When deputies responded to Grange St. in Mason Township, they found that a car driven by 47-year-old Devine Stoner of South Bend, IN, had left the road and struck a tree.
Stoner was rescued from the vehicle and taken to an Elkhart hospital. Currently, her condition is unknown.
The Porter Fire Department and Porter Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
According to the officials, Stoner was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Alcohol or drugs do not seem to be a factor responsible for the crash.
