Fort Worth police reported a tragic pedestrian accident on Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a man after being hit by a vehicle on westbound Interstate 20. The victim was identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as Colt Lee Bourland, 40, of Weatherford.

According to authorities, the man was involved in a minor crash with a semi-truck around 6:35 a.m. at I-20 and Farm Road 1187 in west Fort Worth. After exchanging information with the truck driver and arranging for a tow truck, he was struck by a third vehicle while outside.

The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Police are conducting an investigation into the fatal crash, although it’s unclear if the driver who struck him remained at the scene or if any criminal charges are expected.
