Three people lost their lives following a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon on Folsom Lake Crossing.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place at around 4:00 p.m. along the Folsom Lake Crossing near the dam. The preliminary reports showed that a car drove across the center divider into oncoming traffic where it collided head-on with the other vehicle. Both the vehicles involved had severe damage due to the collision.
Two people succumbed to their injuries at the scene while the third victim died at the hospital. The identities of the victims have not been revealed. Folsom Lake Crossing reopened at around 8:00 p.m. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
