The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle collision that claimed the lives of two people in Modesto on Thursday.
Roughly at 4:14 a.m., a 22-year-old man driving a Hyundai on southbound Highway 99 collided with a Chevy Tahoe. The force of the collision caused the Chevy to flip over.
Two people were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have confirmed that it was the driver of the Hyundai and a passenger in the Chevy. Two others suffered injuries.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
