According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Mesquite on Tuesday. 

The crash happened on Interstate 30 at around 3:37 a.m. 

According to the investigators, an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck were involved in the collision. The officials stated that one of them was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died at the hospital. The Mesquite Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the deceased people. 

According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. The accident is still being investigated. Additional information regarding the fatal crash is not available currently.
