Two men lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision on Santiago Canyon Road on Saturday evening, with alcohol believed to have been a contributing factor, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The multi-vehicle accident, which occurred around 9 p.m. west of Limestone Spur Road, resulted in significant front-end damage to both vehicles involved.
The 34-year-old driver of a 2018 Ford from La Habra was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 42-year-old driver of a 1993 Toyota from Santa Ana was transported to Orange County Global Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Both men were identified as the sole drivers of their respective vehicles, with no mention of additional occupants. The fatal crash remains under investigation by the authorities.
