A spokesperson from the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed on Monday that they are investigating a fatal accident on SH 302 where 1 person died. Officials added that the location of the accident is near the Winkler/ Loving County line.
Preliminary investigation reports state that the crash involved two commercial vehicles and also directed that the involved lanes would be closed for investigations to continue. Owing to the multi-vehicle accident, DPS requested drivers to use alternative routes.
Officials on the scene did not disclose the deceased individual’s identity, and the next of kin had not been notified at the time.
Investigations are underway. No further details have been made available.
