Worth County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash that killed one woman and injured another in Worth County. The crash occurred on Highway 82 off of Whiddon Mill Road in Sylvester.
According to the investigators, Jennifer Munoz died in the crash. Her teenage daughter and the other driver were transported to the hospital.
Don Whiteaker, Worth County Sheriff, said Thomas Hughes was arrested following the crash. Hughes was charged with vehicular homicide, DUI, reckless driving, and wrong-way driving.
The crash is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol. Further details relating to the crash were not provided by the officials.
The crash remains under investigation.
