On early Monday morning, a man suffered injuries following a traffic accident on Detroit’s west side.
Officers actively responded to the area of Greenfield Road and Grove near McNichols at around 2 a.m. after getting reports of a crash. The early reports showed that a semi struck six vehicles that were parked on Greenfield before it ran into an apartment building.
The 58-year-old man who received injuries was sitting in one of the parked vehicles at the time of the collision. On arrival, medics transported him to a hospital where he is listed in temporary serious condition. The driver of the semi came out of the vehicle after crashing and ran from the scene in an unknown direction. Officers are looking for the driver of a semi-truck.
The crash remains under active review.
