Officials are investigating a traffic crash in China Township that killed a man.

The accident occurred when an eastbound 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee ran a red light at the intersection of Wadhams and Puttygut roads and struck a southbound Chrysler 200. 

Following the collision, the Jeep rolled over and rested in a field southeast.

The Chrysler driver, a 27-year-old Detroit man, and the other 29-year-old male passenger were rescued from the vehicle.

The Jeep driver, the Chrysler passengers, and a 32-year-old China Township man were taken to a local hospital.
