Pedestrian injured after getting struck by a MARTA bus in Atlanta (Atlanta, GA)

On Monday morning, a pedestrian suffered injuries after getting struck by a MARTA bus in Atlanta.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian accident took place when the male pedestrian came into the path of the bus as it was turning left into North Avenue Station. On arrival, medics transported the man to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.

No one on the bus received any injuries as a result of the incident. Officers shut down multiple lanes on North Avenue as crews worked at the scene. Motorists were asked to expect delays and adopt alternate routes. No other information has been released.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
