Three people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash early Saturday on MO-5 about two miles south of Ava, according to a preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report.

The collision happened around 4:10 a.m. and involved a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado traveling northbound and a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound, the report states.

An 18-year-old male driver from Zanoni, a 37-year-old female driver from Ava, and a 47-year-old male occupant from Ava each sustained minor injuries and were transported for medical treatment, according to the Patrol's report.

The crash remains under investigation by Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G. The incident has been assigned report number 260399667.
