A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Missouri 5 north of Ava, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol's online crash report indicates the collision occurred around 5:00 p.m. on September 8, 2026, about four miles north of Ava in Douglas County. Troop G is handling the investigation.

According to the crash report, a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 and a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle were both traveling southbound on Missouri 5 when they collided.

The motorcycle's driver, a 46-year-old man from Ava, sustained serious injuries in the crash, the patrol said. He was transported to a medical facility for treatment. No fatalities were reported, and one injury has been confirmed in connection with the incident.
