A 74-year-old man from Mansfield suffered serious injuries after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on MO 5 about two miles north of Ava, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The patrol said the crash occurred on July 31, 2026, at approximately 2:25 p.m. in Douglas County. A 2013 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle were both traveling southbound at the time of the collision, the report states.
