A Springfield man suffered minor injuries early Saturday morning when the vehicle he was driving crashed on Highway H west of Mt Vernon, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report.

The crash was reported at 6:15 a.m. on July 4, 2026, about two miles west of Mt Vernon in Lawrence County, the Patrol said. A 2017 Ford Fusion was traveling northbound on Highway H at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The driver, a 43-year-old man from Springfield, sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol said. No other vehicles were reported involved in the crash.

The incident, logged under case number 260279153, was handled by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
