State Police Investigating Fatal Crash on I-95 in Newark
Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on Monday afternoon on Interstate 95 in Newark. On September 29, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., an unloaded Freightliner dump truck was traveling southbound on I-95 in the center-left lane, approaching the Churchmans Road overpass. For reasons still under investigation, the driver abruptly braked and swerved to the left, causing the truck to crash into the center concrete median. The driver, a 46-year-old man from Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was taken to an area hospital…
