A juvenile passenger suffered moderate injuries after a motorhome crashed on Interstate 44 near Mount Vernon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 1:21 p.m. on July 6, 2026, on westbound I-44 at mile marker 51, about four miles east of Mount Vernon in Lawrence County, the Patrol's online crash report states.

Authorities said the incident involved a single vehicle, a 2001 Tiffin Zephyr motorhome that was traveling westbound at the time of the crash. A juvenile occupant of the motorhome sustained moderate injuries and was transported for medical treatment, according to the Patrol.
