Ela Taubert makes history with her New York City debut at SummerStage in Central Park, performing for over 20,000 fans.
Over the weekend, Colombian singer-songwriter and Latin Grammy winner Ela Taubert made her New York City debut and performed at this year’s SummerStage in Central Park for over 20,000 fans. There, she brought to life her critically acclaimed debut album, Preguntas a Las 11:11, for the first time in the U.S.
During her set, Ela hyped fans by performing her biggest hits, including “¿Para Qué?,” “¿Quién Diria?,” “¿Por Qué No Me Fui Antes?,” “¿Quien Soy Para Juzgar?,” her collaboration with producer Max Martin, “¿Es En Serio?,” and the album’s focus track, “¿Trato Hecho?”
The highlight came when Ela surprised her fans with an emotional medley of covers, including “Diamonds” and “We Found Love” by Rihanna, and “A Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay. Ela continued her performance by sharing some exciting news: she’s set to tour in the U.S. for the first time, hinting at an official U.S. tour announcement on the horizon.
Currently, Ela is preparing for the start of her international tour, which kicks off in Puerto Rico on August 31, and will trek through Spain, stopping through cities such as Madrid, Alicante, Valencia, and Barcelona. The tour then makes its way through LATAM, including Santiago, Buenos Aires, Lima, Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara, before making a final stop in her hometown of Bogotá.
