A 56-year-old Wheatland man died after being struck by a vehicle on County Road 273 about three miles south of Hermitage, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The patrol said the crash happened just after midnight on July 19, 2026, when a 2008 Ford Escape traveling northbound struck the pedestrian. The man died as a result of his injuries, the report states.
