Two women were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash on US 24 about four miles east of Salisbury, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The collision was reported at 5:17 p.m. on August 4, 2026, in Chariton County.
According to a preliminary Highway Patrol crash report, the vehicles involved included a 2023 Kia Forte and a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, both traveling eastbound, along with a westbound 2019 Dodge Caravan.
An 18-year-old woman from Salisbury and a 55-year-old woman from Moberly, both drivers, sustained serious injuries in the crash and were transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported. No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop B is handling the investigation into the collision.
