Two people were seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 24 in Chariton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The Patrol said an 18-year-old woman was driving a 2023 Kia Forte eastbound on Highway 24 when her vehicle struck the rear of a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 65-year-old. The crash happened at 5:17 p.m., authorities said.
Both drivers sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision, the Highway Patrol reported. Further details on their conditions or transport to medical facilities were not immediately available.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash near Salisbury in Chariton County.
