The collision happened at mile marker 112, about two miles north of Rockport in Atchison County, on September 23, 2026, at approximately 1:53 p.m., per a preliminary Highway Patrol crash report. The report indicates a 2023 Kenworth T680 was traveling southbound on I-29 when it collided with a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia that was stationary at the scene.
