Two drivers were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 Northbound near mile marker 28.2 in Pemiscot County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's preliminary online crash report. The collision was reported at 7:22 a.m. on September 13, 2026, and was investigated by Troop E.
The patrol reported that a 2014 Kia Sportage and a 2022 Dodge Durango, both traveling northbound, were involved in the crash. A 39-year-old woman from Portageville, who was driving one of the vehicles, sustained moderate injuries and was taken for medical treatment. The driver of the other vehicle, a 57-year-old man from Hayti, suffered serious injuries and was also transported for treatment.
