Two women were hurt when their vehicles collided on Highway B about two miles west of East Prairie, according to a preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash happened on the morning of September 6, 2026, at approximately 10:05 a.m., the Patrol said. A 2023 Kia Telluride was traveling northbound while a 2013 Chrysler 200 was headed southbound when the two vehicles collided, per the report.

A 38-year-old East Prairie woman driving one of the vehicles suffered minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported. The driver of the other vehicle, a 63-year-old East Prairie woman, sustained serious injuries and was also taken for medical care, according to the report.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol, operating under its Troop E jurisdiction, is handling the investigation. The incident has been logged under crash report number 260380686.
