Two drivers suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on US-36/MO-31 about 6.5 miles east of Saint Joseph, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash happened on Aug. 3, 2026, at approximately 5:27 p.m. in Buchanan County.
According to the Highway Patrol, a 2022 Ford F150 and a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe were both traveling eastbound on US-36/MO-31 when the collision occurred. Details on how the two vehicles came into contact have not been released.
The driver of one vehicle, a 24-year-old man from Saint Joseph, sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Highway Patrol reported. The driver of the second vehicle, a 30-year-old woman also from Saint Joseph, likewise suffered minor injuries and was taken for treatment.
No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash, which is being investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop H under incident number 260327457.
