A single-vehicle crash on I-57 northbound left one person with moderate injuries the morning of July 12, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 9:25 a.m. approximately 10 miles north of Charleston in Mississippi County, per the Patrol's preliminary online crash report. The agency's Troop E has jurisdiction over the area.

A 2016 GMC Terrain traveling southbound was involved in the crash, the Patrol reported. The vehicle's sole occupant suffered moderate injuries and was transported for medical treatment, according to the crash report.
