A 38-year-old East Prairie woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on US 61 near Matthews, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The crash happened at 5:10 p.m. on August 20, 2026, at the intersection of US 61 and County Road 820, about two miles north of Matthews in New Madrid County, the Patrol reported.

A 2020 Ford Explorer and a 2006 Toyota Matrix, both traveling southbound on US 61, were involved in the collision, according to the Patrol's report. The female driver sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol said.

The crash falls under the jurisdiction of Troop E, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation, identified in agency records as incident number 260353092.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.
