Two people died Monday afternoon when a motorcycle and a semi-truck collided on I-70 Westbound in Montgomery County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at mile marker 182.2 around 1:40 p.m., the Patrol's preliminary crash report states. A 2010 Harley Davidson Street Glide and a 2020 Freightliner truck were both traveling westbound at the time of the collision.

A 36-year-old man driving the motorcycle and a 36-year-old woman riding as a passenger both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene, the Patrol reported.

The crash falls under the jurisdiction of Troop F and is being investigated as case number 260327062 by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
