Two juveniles were injured when a single vehicle crashed on Interstate 44 about one mile west of Mt Vernon in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.
The crash happened on Oct. 25, 2026, at approximately 5:55 p.m., per the patrol's preliminary report. A 2026 Hyundai Tucson was traveling west on I-44 at the time of the crash, the report states.
Both the juvenile driver and a juvenile occupant sustained moderate injuries and were transported for medical treatment, the Highway Patrol said. No other vehicles were reported involved, and no fatalities resulted from the crash.
The incident, logged under case number 260453220, falls under the jurisdiction of Troop D. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
