Two women were injured in a two-vehicle crash on MO 39 at RT P, about six miles south of Mount Vernon in Lawrence County, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on Sept. 30, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the patrol's online crash report states. Both vehicles involved — a 2024 Ford F250 and a 2023 Ford Escape — were traveling northbound on MO 39 at the time of the collision, according to the report.

A 78-year-old woman from Aurora, who was an occupant in the crash, sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the patrol reported. An 87-year-old woman from Marionville, identified as a driver in the crash, also suffered minor injuries and was taken for medical care, according to the same report.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash. Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D is investigating the incident, cataloged under crash report number 260416365.
