Two riders from Jefferson City suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on MO 5 just south of Brumback Rd in Cooper County, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 7:10 p.m. on Oct. 10, 2026, and investigated under incident number 260431859, the Patrol said. Troop F responded to the scene.

According to the Patrol's preliminary findings, a 2021 Harley Davidson Road Glide Limited was traveling south on MO 5 when the crash occurred. The motorcycle's two occupants — a 63-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man, both of Jefferson City — sustained serious injuries, the Patrol reported. Both were transported to a hospital for treatment.

No other vehicles were reported involved in the crash, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
