Two women from Paragould, Arkansas, were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on US 412 at Route AC, about three miles west of Cardwell, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 1:23 p.m. on July 9, 2026, per the Patrol's online crash report. Troop E is handling the investigation.

A 2013 Freightliner was traveling eastbound when it collided with a northbound 2010 Chevrolet Impala, the Patrol said. A 46-year-old female occupant and a 68-year-old female driver, both of Paragould, sustained serious injuries in the crash. The 68-year-old driver was transported for medical treatment, according to the report.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash. Further details, including the circumstances leading up to the collision, have not been released.
