Two people from College Springs, Iowa, suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle crash on US-71 near Burlington Junction, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred the morning of October 17, 2026, on US-71 at Empire Road, about three miles east of Burlington Junction in Nodaway County, the Patrol's online crash report states.
A 2000 Chevrolet 1500 was traveling southbound when the crash happened, according to the report. The driver, a 72-year-old man, and a passenger, a 71-year-old woman, both of College Springs, were injured and taken for medical treatment, the Patrol said.
