Three people were injured, two of them juveniles, when a Can-Am Commander XT crashed on Smith Road north of Route D in Ste Genevieve County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol, whose online crash report cites incident number 260327788, said the crash happened at 9:37 p.m. on Aug. 3, 2026, as the 2022 Can-Am Commander XT was traveling northbound on Smith Road. Only one vehicle was involved, according to the report.

The juvenile driver of the off-road vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken for medical treatment, the Highway Patrol said. A second juvenile occupant sustained moderate injuries and was also transported for treatment. An 18-year-old male occupant from Bonne Terre, Missouri, sustained serious injuries and was likewise taken for medical care, according to the report.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash. The investigation falls under the jurisdiction of Troop C, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
