A 27-year-old Steele woman sustained moderate injuries after the off-road vehicle she was riding in crashed on MO-E about four miles south of Steele, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol said the crash happened at approximately 2:20 p.m. on October 1, 2026, and involved a 2019 Polaris Razor traveling westbound at the time. The woman was the lone occupant named in the report and was transported for medical treatment following the crash, the patrol said.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data.
