A 69-year-old Purdy man suffered moderate injuries in a crash involving a rail ballast regulator and a John Deere tractor south of Purdy, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 1:17 p.m. on June 29 on Farm Road 2090, about two miles south of Purdy, the Patrol reported. Investigators said the ballast regulator was traveling northbound while the tractor was traveling westbound at the time of the collision.

The driver, a Purdy resident, was transported for medical treatment following the crash, according to the Patrol. Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol has jurisdiction over the case and logged the incident under report number 260270344.
