One person is dead and five others were injured following a four-vehicle crash on U.S. 63 about eight miles south of Houston, Missouri, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at approximately 4:25 p.m. on October 10, 2026, in Texas County, the patrol said. Investigators with Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G responded to the scene.

According to the patrol's report, the vehicles involved were a 2026 Ford E-350 traveling northbound, a 2014 GMC Sierra traveling southbound, a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox traveling southbound, and a 2010 Ford Focus traveling northbound.

One occupant sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. Five other occupants suffered minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals for treatment, per the patrol's account.
